After George Micheal’s recent arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence, George Michael has allegedly checked himself into rehab in London. He was recently arrested after running his Range Rover into a store front near his home in Hampstead, London. George Michael posted this notice on his official website:

“I want to thank you all sincerely, and also to reassure those of you who worry so much for me. I fully appreciate the seriousness of my current situation, for which I truly apologise…
“I feel you should know that on the day after the incident I checked in to a clinic for a 14 day detox program here in London, which has been followed by ongoing outpatient drug counselling several times a week. Personal problems which I had tried to deal with myself had clearly got the better of me, and I am sorry that my pride has prevented me from seeking help before now.
“I would also like to express my thanks to those whose discretion allowed me to begin this process in private, which has helped me greatly.”

Earlier this week, at the MTV Movie Awards after party hosted by Katy Perry, Lindsay Lohan’s alcohol monitor bracelt allegedly went off, alerting authorities that Lohan had violated the terms of her probation.

Lindsay Lohan has a warrant out for her arrest, according to TMZ! Another strike against the now infamously flaky actress? According to the TMZ report, the incident stems from the night of the MTV Movie Awards, where the actress’s SCRAM bracelet (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring) generated a report to law enforcement officials that Lohan may have shown signs of alcohol ingestion. Lindsay of course posted to Twitter right away: “I didn’t violate anything”

Sources say the SCRAM data shows evidence of alcohol.

TMZ is reporting that Artie Lange was just arrested in New Jersey after getting in a car accident. Given Artie’s trouble with addiction, alcohol, cocaine and herion abuse in the past, you just never know. Good luck Artie! We’re pulling for you!

Remember Britney Spears’ terrible performance at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards? Well, a new tell-all book is revealing that the secret to Britney’s terrible disaster of a performance was tequila - and lots of it!

[Britney] had been planning her routine at the prestigious event for months to prove to the world she had fully recovered from her personal problems.

However, insiders have now revealed she wasn’t mentally ready to perform and was drunk when she went out on stage.

In his new book ‘Britney: Inside the Dream
‘, writer Steve Dennis claims: “Britney herself managed to ruin the most important performance of her life. Hours before the show, her anxieties raged. She decided it was a good idea to start drinking tequila shots to calm her nerves - one after the other.”

Britney’s fragile mental state was also reportedly tested when her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake came into her dressing room to wish her luck.

Dennis revealed in the book: “Justin was cool and couldn’t have been friendlier, but that wigged her out more.”

Britney Spears these days though, as we know, is a total success story, having successfully battled drugs and alcohol, regained posession of her kids, and is now touring Europ on the ‘Circus’ tour.
